I’m weighing an offer from Deloitte GPS in Human Capital (consultant level, 2.5 YOE). I’ve seen previous posts about all the people Deloitte laid off last year and I’m a bit nervous to accept because of it. Does anyone know if Deloitte is still doing layoffs? Was/Is it in commercial or GPS? And what were the reasons for the layoffs?
Anyone have the Deloitte SPG code handy?

Start a daily journal in One Note of everything that is happening, everything asked with screenshots and everything discussed on the phone. Try to have more things in writing over text /email since phone is harder to prove. Find a lawyer first before you reach out to HR. These are messy battles. Protect yourself first.

She needs to be really direct and ask why and put him on the spot. If he trips over himself he might back off

Don't do this. Don't give away your position. Honestly, don't do anything. Talk to a lawyer before you do literally anything else from this very second on.

Why would he be worried about her being fully utilized? Is trying to give those hours to someone else?
Yes, another person in his team
Honestly companies you need to train your project managers and leaders. Dont put so much utilization pressure on them that they try to get that by knocking off pregnant women off full util.
... convince her to take help from another person in his team. He is asking her to Screensaver her calendar and asking her to prove that she worked that many hours. He is from a different team. I think he should not be trying to pressurize her that she cannot work because of her pregnancy! He is also trying to get too personal, uninvited. What should she do? I asked her to report to HR as this sounds like discrimination. Will she face retaliation and career damage if she objects to this? (2/2)
He is trying to convince her, you are pregnant. You cannot work for 40 hours. Let me get you another help and you can give some of your hours to that other person.
Leaves are limited and when is the best use of that leave is a personal choice I guess unless it impairs your ability to do work.
But the tone and content of the conversation is then different I think. E.g.
"I think you cannot really work 40 hours when pregnant" vs "Hey, we are behind on this deliverable. You think we need help or need to plan some alternative approach?"
Should she not bring this up with her career counselor atleast?
Lawyer. Sad to say but don’t trust anyone at the company from this point out. Too many people will ultimately protect themselves and the company over your wife

A manager is supposed to take queues from the employee not tell them they can’t work because they are pregnant. They should keep the same expectations for the employee if they feel they can work. The manager is out of line and could get in big trouble.
Document everything. Go to HR.
