Dear Amdocs Hiring Team, Thanks for the worst experience. You guys took almost 2 months for hiring process, asked for all the documents, even shared the CTC breakup over email and at last after multiple follow ups over calls and emails, you replied by stating that "Unfortunately , we are not moving ahead with your candidature at moment." When I asked the reason, you are clueless till now what to say? You guys even don't have enough courage to respond my calls. #Amdocs #Hiring

If you have cash that you want to invest. Please consider Treasury Series I Savings Bond (Electronic). Interest is 7.12% right now. While it's not guaranteed that the 7.12% will remain until next year, it's still a good deal.
My SO and I just invested 20k (10k max per person even married).

Let me tell you my story..
9 years and 17 LPA
Still I am happy..
I got you. People tend to associate happiness with money and ignore other aspects of life which is the case at my end too.
Thanks for commenting.
As you are in good wlb and not too bad salary I would recommend to follow below steps:
1) Uninstall fishbowl, reason because here people will only talk about salary and how high they are.. even if u start earning 20 believe me you will get upset seeing people getting 35+ at your exp.
2) Focus on your work, enjoy life
3) In case wlb become bad, then install fishbowl again
4) check your current value as per different bowl post, please consider atleast 10-15 post to calculate your that time expected average salary range.
5) resign, work less, prepare hard and get selected in your desire company
6) post your salary and "how much your in-hand salary will be" post in this bowl.
7) enjoy your new company and benefit
8) get sad because u have good wlb and decent salary but someone else is earning way too good compare to you
9) read from step 1

Exactly I am 9 years YoE and recently joined good product based company. WLB and Job security is fantastic here. I got 75+% as a hike compared to last company. Now getting 20 LPA. It was more than enough for me. Company is in my home town only. But after seeing 3 years experienced guys getting 20+ LPA. I am feeling very bad. Thinking I should have gone for 25 LPA. I think, this mentality and trend will not end in near future. Until we start to see the other side of the switch in bowl. Nobody posts what the hardships in new role and new company.
I have been in same situation. I made a mistake of leaving the organisation for money. And now I regret it everyday.
If the money you are getting is satisfactory then don't move. You can stay with the product based organisation learn and and aim for other big companies.(product based) Instead of going in the service based industry.
@Emerson in service based everything depends on Project

Something from your post tells me you are in your comfort zone and don't want to leave it.
Yes, wlb is important but if you think that this is the ONLY place where you're getting peace of mind and wlb, then you will never be able to move out my friend.
I see how everyone is commenting that we should not link happiness/peace to money, and it is correct to some extent. But at the end of the day, it's money which pays your bills. You don't want to lose out on opportunities just because you're getting "peace" in current organization (considering the fact that you have 4 yoe). As you have joined here a year back, you might want to stay a bit longer, and that makes sense. But don't stay back just because you're getting peace here. And if money is not at all a criteria for you, then it's a different case altogether. You're the best judge for yourself.

Think long term and not short term. If there is scope to grow at your current company please stay back and leverage that learning when you interview. If there is no scope for growth then by all means please look elsewhere. Compensation is only a byproduct of what you bring to an organisation.
Chief
stay, learn and rebound.. think for long term,
peace cannot be bought with money
If you’re happy with your current compensation and role, stay there.. Please stop comparing yourself with anyone in this world, everybody runs their own race and comparing yourself with others would be directly proportional to your degrading mental peace.. Relax, learn, add more skills to your CV, give more than 100% to your current role and outshine yourself more than yesterday.
peace 🕊✌🏻
you are unique

I switched from a product based to service based. I am happy here with my role since I cleared out all things with the interviewer that I just want to be in this xyz role. I am working in that role and I am happy. 3yrs->19LPA all fixed. Look for a switch.
You'll always end up earning more than some and less than some.
Don't compare on the ctc, upskill & the money will follow.
Being a QA myself and stuck with similar situation like you but with higher experience.. My opinion will be that you should be open to service or small organisations as well.. Product companies life is too comfy with tech stack and test frameworks are sometimes very internal to organisation with less market demand.. With your experience its not a bad choice to learn more generic tools and demanding products. So upskilling yourself in this way will be my suggestion.. finances will settle itself as a byproduct..
Stop comparing with others.
I hope you get the answer.
Yes :)
Bro, do you have a gf or wife? If you are still happy, then continue
Don't compare with other's salary.
1. If you are not happy (toxic environment).
2. If you are not appreciated.
3. If you are not getting what you deserve even after conversation.
4. And if you have bigger goals in life.
Learn skills, be in a position to make demands and switch.

I would suggest stay. Grow within the organisation.
Define your goals and identify technical skills that you want for next few years. Try to achieve the same in your company and try to get working exposure on it. If you get in your company, then you can definitely stay. Else, I will suggest to search where u can get this working exposure that will enhance your career.
Money is an important parameter, but that comes only after our knowledge/skills. If we have this, sooner or later you will definitely get money as well.
This week UKG mei hike hua hai.
That too awesome hike everyone had got 10% +.
What's the problem then.
@Cogni: Bhai time to leave then 😁
Sir, agar aap ko salary reassess krke dukhi hona hai to aap reddit pe "banglore salary thread" search kariye... Aur agar nahi to "app band krke so jayiye"
(Aur fresher ke liye kuch ho aapke pass to ispe reply kijiye)
After a certain period of time company thinks few employee as a stable employee and they never increase your salary as per market standard they just give you minimum hike, if you are a valuable employee to them then even if you get a 20 lpa package they will retain you don't underestimate yourself just find a better opportunity .
