Need advice🐠. FAANG recruiter reached out for interview based on my application last month. But, I start a project at this client this week. Do I go ahead with the interview? Should I let my SM/P or anyone know about this? I’m scared of my team leadership finding out if the recruiter reaches out to my client team. Position is not with the same team, but roles and responsibilities align closely. Also, I have worked on this FAANG client for a few months last year as well. Please advice. TIA!

Looking for opportunities to work in my field eventually. I’m almost certified in project management through Google. Since I was previously trained in project management, I’m doing sometimes a week or 2 weeks worth of google coursework in one evening. I've used intuition and visual assessment prior to COVID. Now we find we need to more trust on how the client views the change needed (or not recognizing the need).

All else equal, is it easier to become direct admit PP rather than promoted to that role from SM or MD? Seems less obstacles. Thoughts?

When I was a device driver developer with 2 years relevant experience I had got calls from Nvidia and Qualcomm. Unfortunately I wasn't able to crack the interviews back then.

For next 5 years I worked mostly on application development and broadening my exposure. I am not getting even a single call from such companies now.

Is it a good idea to rebrand myself as a device driver developer so that I can get calls again?

I cleared all my rounds of interview in JPMC, had salary discussion with HR 2 weeks back. After which i was asked to apply the job on candidate portal and submit additional information.

Its almost 2 weeks and i haven't heard back anything from them. My status in portal shows "You are moving to the final steps in the process". This status has not changed since last 2 weeks.
