Isn't the Hilton connected? Go drop with the doorman. Maybe chat the front desk up.

^good idea SM1. Slightly worried they would have a strict policy to not do that as an airport-connected hotel, but I think that’s the best idea

like

I live in the city, I’ll hold your luggage for a fee

helpful

^SM1 will sniff probably do it for free to sniff your undies

like

Book a room the next week at the Hilton on a cancellable rate code.

Drop the luggage (front desk will verify you)

Cancel your room

???

Pick up your luggage

smart

^D2 I love it, awesome idea. Thank you!

Heads up: Hilton is giving triple points during July if you use their credit card for booking. Good opportunity to make up to 54 points per $1. Time to stack up those points! Happy monday! :D

PHEV (specifically, RAV4 Prime) yay/nay?

Expected use case:
Family car
Low mileage (<10-11k / yr)
4-5 days a week expecting less 30 miles per day
Weekends 100-200 miles altogether (occasionally)
Rare road trip use (1x or 2x / yr; <300 miles one way)
Have garage (to charge at home)

Chief Concern: "Best of both worlds" in engineering can mean compromises and complications, which can mean non-resilient/unreliable. But I'm no gearhead, so not sure if I'm making massive incorrect assumptions.

So I’m only contributing to 401k enough to get employer match, and I’m saving an additional ~20% and putting 90% of that into my vanguard mutual funds. Reasoning is that I don’t want to lock away all that money maxing out 401k. Have 3 months expenses liquid in a savings account. Is this really dumb? Essentially trading tax for the option of actually using my money.

I left Audit at a midsize firm to join KPMG erp implementation consulting about 6 months ago. So far they seem to only want to staff me on projects with a heavy focus on technical accounting and audit. Spoke to a lot of others who have left and seems like being pigeonholed or staffed on projects not related to the actual core work of the practice is the common reason. I've been on the fence about whether I should stay and hope to be staffed on better projects in the future or leave soon...

What mediums do you use with cold outreach that you find most effective?
