Sure - bring plastic gloves, mask and disinfectant wipes. Don’t touch anything at the airport and wipe things off as you go through security. On the flight- wipe of your seat really well, the seatbelt, tray and anything else you touch. Bring an extra sweater or blanket as the airlines will not provide any and the temperature on the flight is kept at a low. Don’t take your shoes off on flight and for extra pro-cation bring an extra set of close that you change into before walking inside your house / hotel room. Most importantly make sure you’re enjoying yourself by having a cocktail or two on the flight! Bon voyage!

like

Great advice, except the cocktail part... don’t put your mouth on plastic cups touched by other people, don’t touch anything more than you have to and don’t take your mask off.

like

Don’t worry about it and enjoy!

like

Do the flights air system filter the air for germs? I am most worried about airborne infection in a closed space where air is recirculated.

In addition to what was stated above, you need an N95 or N100 mask and goggles to protect your eyes.

Planes are the cleanest you’ve ever seen them and they’re spacing people out. You’ll have the entire row to yourself. Enjoy.

Hi, I have an offer of 22 lakh (YOE: 8) from Temenos, my skillsets are AWS and Azure cloud platform (IaaS and PaaS) and devops. My visa to Canada is initiated and I have been told that I can travel immediately once I get the visa. My spouse works in SAP labs, he too has got the work permit initiated to canada and his current CTC is 30lpa with 11 YOE. Which would be a better option in terms of savings and opportunities? Are there any agencies that are willing to pay for relocation? Looking to make a move out to WC. I know this is more likely for VP+ so I’m curious which agencies have the flattest PnL

Probably the antithesis of this bowl - but need some advice. This is for a house in a Southern metro. Built in 1960s completely remodeled in 2000s with some very recent additional remodeling of kitchen and bathrooms. Well kept house. The price will be nearly $1M, the same as something built in 2010+ with similar square footage (because a lot of the price is the lot, its a super expensive zip). Should I steer clear because of the age? Will it cost a ton in maintenance and utility bills?

Does anyone have suggestions for what a salary should be for a Digital Marketing Analyst | Paid Social & Performance Media? I have 1 year of experience, the job asks for 0-1 year of experience. I feel I over meet the qualifications in some areas and just meet them in others. The recruiter said 50k is the salary the company is offer. I know I can negotiate. What are your thoughts on what the salary should be?

ZS Associates
I have a couple of questions for ZS fishes-

1. Is it possible to turn down a promotion at ZS? I'm currently happy with my responsibilities as a Decision Analytics Consultant and don't want any added responsibilities in the near future (next 5 years)

2. Is it possible to shape up a career path in the BC stream which doesn't involve business development? I don't want to get into working on SOWs and RFPs.

HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? I have 15 years within the organization, left for 10 months to be remote during the pandemic while sorting out childcare as immunocompromised family helped. Now HR is restarting my ET as a new employee. I realize I left, but not on bad terms and I am an exemplar and respected employee. I thought I’d have the upper hand with the nursing shortage but I’m getting the “rules are rules” response. Help!?!

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
