... every project I've ever joined has started before I've rolled off the previous project. What's the problem here?
I need another week, maybe 2 to get the client fully comfortable with my work they'd be taking over. The new project is starting on next Monday and wants me to join then. Don't want to lose the new one, can I ask the M to give me an extra week before I join?
In my experience, no you cannot ask that of the new project team. I've gotten used to simultaneously finishing the work for an ending client while ramping up on a new client. The alternative seems to be these terrified posts of being on the bench.
The current manager and new manager need to talk and come up with a plan - ask them to resolve.
