For those of you who build websites, how do you display your built sites on your portfolio site? Do you have a page where you mock up the site or do you do a direct link? I currently have both. I’m just trying to figure out the best way for me. Here is my site for reference. The links for the sites are in the menu and below in the gallery. Sarahbellestudios.com

If you’re not feeling loyal or if you don’t have especially good work relationships that you cherish above all else, you can (and for many, should) jump to another firm to get ahead a level. It will also have the benefit of rounding out your experience, not to mention you can always boomerang to your current firm after another ~two years to get SM, bringing experience from another firm to the table.
It’s a great option. What do you have to lose by exploring the M role (given you want to join Fed)?
“Not feeling loyal” lol ouch SM1, hit a nerve with me there. I’m already in GPS and I love my project/team/network/account, but even after being newly promoted (after what I was told was a strong PY) I’m being criminally underpaid for my skill set and certifications. So, this move is strictly to get to a more fair salary, and I’d love to boomerang back if the opportunity comes up. I have not and don’t plan on burning any bridges, but it is definitely going to be sad to have that conversation with the Partner on my account
How important is salary and role? How important is comfort and familiarity? Are you consistently put on projects with a strong WLB that you like? Do you want to be pushed harder into more difficult problems with potentially longer hours? (and on and on)
When you shift jobs many things will change. Be honest with yourself about the importance of each and weigh the decision.
For me personally, weighing all of this led me to leave my firm to make a move (years ago). It was a great decision for me, but it may not be for you. Good luck!
