This very thing happened to me last week. I was so excited to interview with a much larger agency than who I work with now. I have quite a broad range of skills in social media, but all they asked about was engagement. Totally understood that would be a significant part of the role, but engagement for major brands looks different than the local companies I work with now. Did not get pas the first interview due to other more “experienced” candidates.
Def I was sent to a company that wanted 360 or Integrated Campaigns which I have. By the second interview when I asked what types of campaigns do you have? It turned into live stunts. That’s the majority. A diff recruiter called me yesterday. They are still interviewing. My interview was 6/21. After that interview thats what prompted me to post this. Had the recruiter did the deep dive or they are not revealing it. Communication is missing. I should have never been submitted.
