No travel week and consultant said he's WFH instead of going into home office 🙌🏻

Maybe he's feeling burnt out, has some personal stuff going on, or needs to manage his life a bit. Y'all need to not assume the worst right away. Let the guy live a bit, he's trying to complete his work with a little flexibility -- us hating on that just perpetuates the stigma around work/life balance.

SA1, with a few exceptions, my experience is that people are incredibly unproductive when they work from home. A day is fine (isn't that what Fridays are for?) but if it's a remote week you need to count on your team actually being productive or there won't be any more remote weeks.

Depends on the team, I remote frequently and I'm more productive on those days (and work longer hours) than when in the office. I find folks constantly interrupt me in the office and I get burned out much faster than if I can make a quick bfast and wear comfy clothes while I crank out my work.

Give him the benefit of the doubt first. If his work isn't as great this week, then judge.

Im starting a new job but still employed somewhere else. I was trying to be open about staying at BOTH places. My current job won’t let me be part time because they don’t allow “set schedules”. Yet I am one of the only reliable and loyal employees in the department, and currently working a set schedule. So why will they not let me continue a set schedule but with different hours? This place is more focused on strict policies and not actually trying to work their employees and being flexible.

Looking for work from home or remote opportunities from companies based in UK/USA/ Australia/Singapore.
I am based out of India and willing to work at the corresponding work hours of the companies hiring me.
Am from accounts, finance, tax and audit background.
Please help me look up the same!

Thanking you all in anticipation.

I'm a light sleeper who cares too much about the people around me, but I've got a flight to London next Friday from 7pm NYC time to 7am UK time, and I'd really like to master sleeping on a plane just this once and not be in jet lag hell for the entire day after I land. I'll be in premium economy in an aisle seat. I usually take melatonin before bed and sleep on my side. Does anyone have suggestions for an OTC sleeping pill or pillow that actually works, or other advice for sleeping on a plane?

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.

Anybody else noticed recruiters are only proactively reaching out about hybrid/on-site roles nowadays?

It's almost as if people don't want to be in offices anymore so that's why it's difficult for them to fill those roles.
Sidenote: recruiters, you can see on my LI profile that I'm remote. In the "What jobs are you interested in" field you can see I'm only interested in remote roles.
So, why are you reaching out to me about jobs in a city 3 hours away that's 100% onsite and w/out even a ReLo?
