They asked me if I would be willing to take a lower salary to start because i have no experience in the area they practice (education, employment, etc). Not sure how to feel about being asked to basically take a clerk position for an indefinite period. Is this common?

Can anyone tell me list of companies where there is flexible time and WLB as i have little child and want to resume career again. I have 6 years in iOS development. I had 5.5 CTC last before 2 years. Now due to fear of career gap i can't ask for good package. Can companies give good package if have career gap?
