If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Do it sooner rather than later. Don't want to burn bridges because all the top guys at agencies know each other.
Just push back new start date til mid Jan, hand in notice first week back - no one in the lurch and leaving on positive terms
The idealist in me says treat them the way you would want to be treated...
Well if that was the case I wouldn't be leaving.
For me it's less about "two weeks" and more about making sure I don't leave my team in a lurch.
Best to let them know at least two week before holiday.
Check benefits and 401k rollover - some agencies won't match your contributions if you don't finish out the year...
I'm possibly going to be in the same boat. Hoping this to have this official so I can give notice Monday, have two weeks to transition out, and then have two weeks off.
Me too
You can't resign during holidays. You will have to give your town week notice prior to your agency closing unless you do not close between Christmas and New Year
And if you ever want to use them as a reference. I'd try to play by the books.
I don't see how holiday pay is going to work, at least not the week between Christmas and New Years. But stranger things have happened.
👆agreed. Unless you work in 2017 at all?
And if you've already agreed to the start date as it sounds you have, you don't have many options. The longer you're wait, the worse the damage.
