I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. I recently had a specialist partner send me a fairly nasty email after I (a transactional first year) was told to ask them to review something ASAP that had clearly been on my partner’s radar for over a week. Why am I taking the (honestly justified) blame for this? Surely it should be obvious that I’m just the messenger here.

My boss asked me to take care of some of the details of a project for her—the stuff that isn't really my area of expertise. And now I feel like a shirker because I haven't been able to finish them yet.

Losing motivation and drive as time goes on , and I’m only 27 . Nothing I’m passionate about and money just seems like it’s ever enough ($160k total comp) . I was lucky enough to be making that much at McK while solving social problems within education , Econ dev , and public health

However , social good isn’t pleasing my soul neither is the income . I’ve switched jobs to healthcare where I’m impacting people’s physical and mental health . Still no passion / drive

My background isn’t in marketing/branding/PR but I’m being thrown into an engagement for a small organization who has many different sub-brands. I now how to give them high level guidance on how to ensure their branding and message is consistent. Any resources/books you’d recommend I could crash course this on?

M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title. But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.

One of my friend who is a doctor & is an international med graduate. He passed his United States Medical Licensing Exams with above average scores. He has applied fr the match last yr & was nt able to match. Match process costs around USD10k; this year he is applying again after borrowing funds frm different sources bt he is under tremendous pressure to get match. I feel his pain as he has studied for 10+ yrs and is struggling to match nw. I m nt sure hw I can help
