Any advice on a first year trying to transition from family law to in-house? I always thought family law was my path, and used to enjoy it, but it’s not the direction I want to head in anymore. I don’t think I even want to continue with any litigation work. I’m having a hard time finding firms that are hiring entry level associate positions that don’t require at least 3+ years experience in-house. Hi folks, my base location as per EY GDS offer letter is Noida but I want it to be Gurgaon as my hometown is in Jaipur and Gurgaon is more convenient for me.. I sent email to my senior manager and got response that you can use flexibility and work in any Gds office in India. However, I feel that in case my base location is not being changed, I should shift to Noida rather than Gurgaon as there might be any formalities or facilities which we need to avail in our base location only.. I understand they might have real therapists working on their content, but a lot of the marketing I see is so vague and broad that it feels like a lie. Seems like "This app got rid of my anxiety with a 30-minute automated text questionnaire" is the new "This tea made me lose 20 pounds in two weeks!" Just seems a little fad-like and money grabby to me. Thoughts?

For those that are home grown (at least 2 levels) into the PPMD level, how has your relationship with juniors that you’ve been close to from the start evolved? Have you had to pull away from them (intentionally or not) or are you just as close? Is the saying “it’s lonely at the top” rung true for you?

What is your recommendation for how a Junior member can work well with Executives, Partners, Directors, etc. on a daily basis? For context, I am a PM for an engagement that has me communicating with really high up members from every angle.
