Stay away from Miami. COL is lower than NYC, but still high and salaries are lower anyways. Career and growth opportunities are very limited. Miami is one thing if you vivir and a totally different story if you live here. Atlanta may be a good option it’s large it’s lower cost of living than Miami, still has good weather.
Texas is full. Thank you for your consideration though.
Dallas Is booming and lots of gay people
Houston is a hot market and has a big and active gay community. Mia is ok, but there are not as many job opportunities as Houston, Dallas or LA could have
If your tired of taxes don’t go to Cali
I know, but it might be better for career in big4 or outside of it.
If you come to Texas, remember why you are coming here.

If you really want LCOL, good career path, warm weather, and low taxes, go to Texas. Dallas or Houston are better from a Big4 perspective. Austin Big4 offices are small. I prefer Dallas to Houston but other people feel just as strongly the other way.
I agree with this - I'd go Dallas before Houston. Austin offices might grow as Austin grows though
Ever given Atlanta any thought?
This was my first thought too
Pro
A lot of people say Texas but Texas is MCOL and Dallas/Houston will eventually get to the ranks of HCOL soon
Can only go so high when a super majority is needed to pass individual income tax.
If you want to stay in the Big4 then LA or Dallas will have the best opportunities professionally.
As far as the gay scene, it really just depends how much effort you’re willing to put into looking hot while working a lot of hours. LA has higher standards aesthetically speaking.
I’d go to Cali if I were you
Good for culture, bad for COL and taxes
Altough taxes are higher in Cali, COL is lower than NYC. MIA win both hands down, the main issue about MIA is career path
K2- it depends where you are...Brickell is just a bunch of people tasting the waters...other part of town and great and with “quality people”...but you say about Spanish is true, but unless you are hanging with older folks, the language is not an issue.
My gay friends have told me that Austin’s gay scene is a lot worse than Houston or Dallas. Apparently it’s a lot less diverse?
I know a lot of guys that have moved to Austin recently, but they all tend to be 22-25 age range
