Congrats for hitting a 6 figure salary!
I got a 80k bump when I left Deloitte.
"I'm very sorry, due to my developing skillset and market conditions, it's become necessary to move to a different company. I want you to know this resignation is in no way a statement about your culture or paycheck. If you wish for me, to speak on your behalf to potential employees and recommend you, please let them know my email."
Congrats I left Accenture for Deloitte and got a $110k raise....I advise young consultants to jump ship as often as possible before making partner...that is the sure way to get consistent market value
All nice and dandy but don’t forget that multiple jumps hurt your resume. Shows you don’t have longevity and will jump ship as soon as the next company throws some money at you. I’ve seen cases where partnership is denied for this very reason. Not saying you should never switch jobs, get paid what you’re worth but balance that with being reliable. The jumps mentioned above sound considerable, which makes sense, but do think long and hard about it before doing so.
Lord I see what you have done for others...

Sweet of you to explain the joke. So corny when folks don’t “get it”.
Congrats!!! I was at KPMG 2 years ago making 74k, left for 110k, and just got bumped to 166k last week.
Notoriously underpaid there, but the exit opps aren't bad!
With COVID-19, all MBAs will equal the same thing. I went to a full time MBA. One of the best experience of one’s life, but nowadays, nobody would care.
Not naming names since i haven't resigned yet (my start date is more than 2 weeks out). But a small startup ish company that does exactly what i do today on a smaller scale.
Are they looking to hire additional staff
Wait so you don’t want to tell your wife? Weird flex.
Just be sure you make her sign that iron-clad pre-nup.. post-nup.. whatever you call that after marriage. 50% chance she's gonna get cha!
I jumped 60k going from ACN to Deloitte, congrats!
D6 lol I’m very sorry, 71k to 125k at the time I left, 135k now as a specialist senior fingers crossed on making manager this year
Congrats OP!
Congrats! Let’s get some drinks (on you of course)!
Congratulations! That’s great news. Are you going to another consulting firm or industry?
Consulting
Big congrats op. Smart move. Companies will pay as low as they can, and hopping for pay increases and fair market rate should absolutely be done!
Don't let lifestyle creep getcha ;).
congrats !! where ya going !!
Congratulations OP. I'm massively underpaid here too. Would be willing to DM and provide some insight on how you made this happen?
Hi OP! Congrats!! I wish to be like you! Can I DM you for advice?
That says more about KPMG than it does about you
Congrats OP! Assuming it's a significant percent increase as well
So 150k? Nice!
We are cheering you on! Congrats OP!
Happy for you. Using you as inspiration!
Industry?
Something similar in terms of dollar increase is on the horizon for me. I find out next week. How did you deal with the anticipation OP? The days are feeling like weeks for me right now
Uh, I'm really shit at taking care of myself right now. I havent eaten all day and im not sure if my stomach is flipping bc of that or nerves. Not telling my team im leaving yet is killing me. And I keep refreshing my email because im celebrating by buying my wife and cat a kitten. And they are slow as shit to give me the address to go pick her up. Its been four hours and i made this post to kill time / help stop me from spamming refresh. Its not helping as much as i hoped.
All advice is welcome at this point.
Why would you leave KPMG?
Curious too, I realize this is an old thread but and insight would be helpful given our impending layoffs and I was passed up for promo. A big raise sounds awesome.
