Proceeding with layoffs right after a hurricane is in bad taste. I hope they at least took the time to see what employees were affected and make it easier on them, but yeah, really insensitive. What are your thoughts.

Industry vets - in your experience how recession proof is insurance? I was not yet in the job market last recession but I watched my mom get laid off and struggle to find employment during that time for the next 1.5 years. I was wanting to hit the job market towards the end of this year, but now I worry that if I do move companies, the recession could put me in position of last one hired first one fired.
