My boyfriend is only 6 months older than I am and he is kicking ass at his job. It’s so hard to feel that even though I work 1.5x the hours he does and had to get my CPA and a master’s that he is making way more money/getting more recognition. His company wants to promote him to to manager soon while I feel like I’m licking shit off the floor for a pat on the back. How do I not get jealous???

Married to a man who raised kids as a single dad and did lots of good things. He’s now retired and his hostility is killing me. I am going through a divorce right now. I currently have a (my) family member stay with me to help take care of my children (until the divorce is finalized). Does my ex have any legal grounds to take such action to evict my visiting family member?

not alcohol/drugs related but more so to do with p*rn addiction. i have struggled for years with this and I am currently making a lot of progress. I started to make real progress once I started telling people (fiance, counsellor, pastor, etc).

I really don't think it should just be considered a religious thing since it effects the brain a lot and can obviously hurt your relationship. Wanted to see if others also struggle with this and are open to sharing.

I was devastated when I realized I had to cut my twin sister and even my mom to some degree out of my life in order to have peace of mind. It makes me sad I feel better without their burdens. ☹️

I am trying to write a stock letter to send to parents everyday that their child does not come to virtual learning sessions. I have been told by administration that even though I have spoken to parents and know why students are not coming to zoom classes, that we still need to contact them everytime they dont come. For some of my students this is everyday due to parent work schedules and disability issues.
Is anyone else having this trouble? What are you saying to parents to cover yourself?

Hadn’t noticed this sub before, and most of the threads are old so thought I’d ask a follow up - how has everyone been handling parenting with public accounting? I realized a slow pace at work is really bad for me. A couple years ago I was experiencing burn out from my fast paced job supporting transactions, and believed by moving to a slower job in a lower cost area, I would be sailing off to the sunset. Wrong, I spend weeks following up with other teams, often times they forgot what we discussed, so I spent 50% if the time reminding them of the topics and next steps. I spend most of my time writing memos no one will read.
