Yeah eff you public school, roads, social security for the poor, police officers, firefighters, Medicaid, gov subsidized loans etc.
You heard him boys let's roll up the streets and fold up the bridges. We don't need em anymore
P1 - You talk as if the police department, social security for the poor, Medicaid, etc. are working as originally intended. You're paying into a broken system. Anyway, this post was just a realization that your bonus is not what you think it's actually going to be, just like most other things. Smh
OP is an embarrassment to the firm
OP you should be fired for not understanding basic economics...
OP is not an embarrassment. He/she is pointing out an upsetting fact. Typically I've seen 40% on bonus. This year it's about 50%!!! It's just sad.
I wouldn't mind paying taxes if we had great roads and public schools. Instead we get a ton of potholes and a million excuses why test scores suck, but that if only we paid a little more everything would be great.
Why is it such a shock that we're paying taxes
Yeah they're broken, but it's better than them not existing at all.
Welp, you can move to Europe. ^
Personal taxes matter more when you carry 450k student loans between you and your SO for undergrad and grad school. To those that say "taxes aren't high at all (insert stupid sounding voice)"get off your fu**ing high horse. OP is right that we don't get as much as we hope. He wasn't complaining about roads or bridges...
And to anyone that says Europe is so much better and we don't understand economics... remind me, how long does it take to get an MRI in Europe for a moderate injury? Or maybe a knee replacement? When you don't charge for things and can't moderate supply and demand, you end up with 6 month waiting periods for a medical procedure
Pretty sure P4 is voting for Trump. Let me know how that works for you, buddy.
Nope, I'm a dual citizen, having been born I. Europe...grass is always greener. Fuck Trump
P5 - so you're saying you made so much more than last year that you actually moved up a tax bracket? Oh yes, poor you. Let me play you my sad song on this tiny violin.
I'm guessing P2 and P4 are the few that are EXTREMELY satisfied with their paychecks and bonuses. I'm guessing we will never ever hear you both complain about your salary then, right guys? 😂
Taxes are so low in the US 😴
You should all write your congressperson about spending more money on bridges and roads, and less on military or whatever else money gets spent on that you don't agree with. Right now, biggest government expenditures are (in no order) social security, Medicare, and the military. You can really only move money from military spending to help pay for infrastructure, since Medicare and social security are special programs with their own taxes attached to them.
Also, public schools are largely funded by your local government and property taxes, although the Federal government certainly chips in some.
A1- that's just it. I am not having that much more than last year. Our bumps kind of sucked this year so this bump in taxed amount is a disappointment and shock.
