Pwc law began the process of my H1 transfer and mentioned it takes 7-8 weeks to just process an H1B application. Can anyone else who has been in a similar position talk about their experience? 7-8 weeks seems quite long for and I would love to join sooner.

Is there a way to expedite? Talked to recruiter and they mentioned that joining date can be changed based on h1 progress.

The problem with diversity is they focus on a quota rather than changing the culture of marginalized groups in the office. So often people speak over me, take credit for my ideas... and it's accepted.

Been for a company for over 2years. The executive team is very much a boy's club. There are a few women in management roles but zero ethnicity diversity there. I raised my concern to HR in feb. And they are just now deciding to do something about it. They want me (white female) to put together a diversity committee. Any suggestions on how to go about it? How to attract volunteers to the committee? I want to make sure I get the right people involved in this, to push for changes.

Are firms willing to clear an experienced hire? This is coming from someone that won't mind sitting in a scif all day.

So I was a 5th year associate in nyc making 100 k a year 2k billable hours.. About rolling off my project with no new project opportunity yet.
