Hi All,
I joined Tech Mahindra for 5 days only and didn't find suitable timing for my project and emailed resignation mail to manager and HR. After that HR asked me to resign over portal but at the same time blocked my portal. After requesting many times they didn't unblock my portal and pretended like they want to unblock but there is some issue going on and marked my profile absconded. I have cleared fnf but they are not providing reliving letter but added pf amount also. What to do?
Anyone hiring SVP copywriters in Chicago?

Yup. I remember back in 2008 we all got calls from our project directors saying whether or not we were “safe”. And 30% of us were not.
They lie. PwC does layoffs in perfectly healthy economic environments.
PWC is acquiring BAH?
Booz & Co was the non- government area of BAH
Did you or I misinterpret the no lay-offs part? “not being high performers and following the code of conduct will be asked to leave?“ that is so vague
Yup agree but not all firms have the means. We do. Booz Co did not.

A few cautions here:
1. We do layoffs every year as part of talent mgmt- typically 10% in S&. So when say IBM does a covid layoff of maybe 5% it’s actually less than our norm. Whether covid related or not its the same result.
2. We will have bonuses, but the amount has not been announced. My target bonus in a ‘typical’ year is 30%...it could be less than 5% due to firm performance.
3. Salaries have been frozen except for people moving to new role (but not up a sublevel).
We could argue all these things are prudent, the reality is we are facing our annual 10% layoff, had salaries frozen, and dont know what bonus to expect. This is very much in line from what I’m seeing at other firms.

I didn’t name or specify deloitte as my point is broadly speaking to S& versus the industry
Your ‘risk’ as an employee of being laid off amounts to the number of people who unwillingly have to leave the business. Whether you call this termination, layoff, counseled out, a resource action, performance management, etc. its the same result.
You might even agree the business should remove people due to performance or economic conditions - this doesnt change my contention that your risk equates to the proportion of people told to leave.

Haven’t heard of other firms doing bonus. I do imagine some of this is a function of our fiscal year. Good on us.
I predict about 2x more people than normal
will fall into the “not high performers” group. This was Ds ploy last year.

Our reviews have finished. Multiple leaders have said the ratios of tiers have remained the same. We aren’t Deloitte.
