A1: Points are pooled so as long as you have other MR points cards you won’t lose them
It should be automatic, so long as you activate the card using your current Amex web login. I was recently in a similar situation, leaving a job with a corp Amex with 600k MR points. I opened a personal Amex gold around the time I gave my two weeks notice, and Amex automatically linked my new card to my existing MR acct.
A1: Yes, if you close the corporate card, you will lose the points. You can easily transfer your points to another Amex card or to a partner hotel or airline.
A2: I believe the corporate card is not closed immediately but after at least one billing cycle so that the amounts can be settled. If billing cycle is completed, then you shouldn't be any more pending points.
