People who work in advertising, do you have annual compensation discussions with your managers?
Just wondering. I make a decent middle class salary but do list my occupation as lawyer on OLD. I'm worried that someone I'm dating wants me more for my income potential than my personality. Any ways to tactfully address this? I'm not cheap but will probably not make near 6 figures for a while. I'm male dating female btw. Just wondering if people have experience with this

Team- need advice. I've been trying to break into strategy for 2 years. I'm at the junior level, but I already managed to bring a new client to my agency, build their brand book and helped lead focus groups. It's like I'm a junior planner without the title. How can I finally break in?

Would you recommend I take a project mgmt role at Meta under a 9 month contract for 60/hr or stay at a role that has potential with nearly no possibility of getting laid off? My fear is that the economy gets worse and I’m stuck after the 9 months.
Current comp is 40/hr. I could probably get a promotion around Dec 2022-April 2023 bringing my comp to around $100k salary (potentially more). I’m 24, 4 YOE, and this contract would be with Collabera with Meta as the client.
Senior Graphic Designer w/ 10+ YOE offered a Creative Director role. What would be a good salary to negotiate? They’ve given no range but know my freelance rate and mentioned they have a budget for the position. I’m afraid to come in too low but also to come in too high. HELP!!!

I know different companies have different names for things, but are there certain key words to look for when looking for a client-side role similar to an agency-side strategy job?
Any recommendations for a women’s dress watch (bonus points for moon phase)?? I am eyeing the Vacheron Constantin Égérie but am not sure what else is out there.
I’m looking to move back to NYC or Jersey City / Hoboken next June. What should I be doing now to make sure the job search goes as smoothly as possible when the time comes?
Hi all! I recently finished my Masters in Biology. I worked on a few studies with human subjects as well as animal work. I am hoping to get a job in clinical research as either a CRC or CRA. I previously worked at a doctors office as a care manager for 4 years, but outside of my academic work I don’t have experience in research. What advice do you all have for entering the field in my position?
I bought a really cute dress, that hugs my body. I love it, but i have a little bit of a lower belly, which shows through. I'm wondering if I should return the dress or if someone can recommend contd
Thoughts on investing retirement accounts in a highly leveraged index fund? Would like to be more aggressive than a standard S&P 500 index fund but don’t want to pick out individual stocks. Good or bad idea?
Hi, not licensed in Florida but I am hoping this bowl can help me out. My old college friend filed a case in Miami pro se. I am not helping him out but he asked me how long he has to respond to the other party’s motion to dismiss. In my state our state civil procedures dictates a response time but it appears in Florida it doesn’t? The only info I can find is on the judge’s individual webpage’s that states a response has to be filed before the hearing date? Am I missing something?
When people add percents to their resume, where are they pulling the numbers out of? Like for example reduced costs by $xxx, xxx , or improved performance by 20%, or increased revenue by 15%? If you’re just fixing tickets and working on product feature enhancements (what I’m primarily doing), where do you get the numbers to put on your resume from? I haven’t updated my resume yet to include my current and first job, so it’s gonna be the first relevant work experience I put on there
Hello everyone, I’m a recent university graduate looking for a graduate scheme on entry level job in London. A general question. For how many years of experience - lead engineer position is given in SocGen ? I know it depends on performance but have seen employees with 7+ yrs get lead position while someone like me having almost 8.8 years was still given the role of Specialist software engineer.

How many hours do you all work in a given week?
Found out I'm on the VP track at work but they want me to come up with "new product offerings" and longterm business opportunities. I work at a political firm that already does social, web, branding, ads, and video. I'm kind of at a loss for what Design can still offer. We are limited by where we can even talk about our candidates. Any out of the box ideas would be appreciated.
Naive question: How many yearly billable hours are reasonable for a good balance of work and home. I have a young child and don't want to miss out on important moments. I had one firm state that their yearly quota is 1900 hours and I don't have a frame of reference as to whether this is reasonable or if it means 12 hour days. I am coming from public service so billables are 100% new to me. Any insight is appreciated.
Struggling- weekly travel, three kids at home and working from home every blue moon only reminded me of al the moments I’m missing. I’m struggling with if I’m giving up moments for more money. It’s...

Anyone has worked for Treasury Department or has heard stories about someone working there? I am trying to explore that possibility. I think this is treated as great experience for tax practice. It seems some top talents from big four or law firm are there. Try to see if anyone has some insights and try to work towards that goal.
@EY Does the firm reimburse for the cost of an uber/taxi when you work late in NYC during busy season?
Have you used one of the dog walking/sitting apps (Wag, Rover etc)? I may need to start going into the office 2-3 times a week and need someone to take care of my dogs during the day. Also looking for an option if we decide to go out of town for the holidays.

Yeah don't it for any pat on the back. Refer them if you think it'll be a good business relationship and leave it at that. Or not - you might regret it later if you grow to resent your firm 😂
Audit staff and bringing in clients big enough for big 4 through networking. Interesting to know what kind of network you have
