Random confession: My husband has been in the US for 5 yrs & currently on his second consulting firm working as a Java Software Engineer. English is his second language and I am always amazed at how he conducts himself during meetings when he has to explain his technical work. Consulting can be hard and mentally draining at times. I've been working at my company just over a year and am still waiting on my 1 year review where a raise was to be discussed (other EA got raise at 1 year review and most raises happen at yearly reviews). However, company have just changed their policy to only review salaries in Jan (change came in after my year mark). I loathe Monday morning meetings. We have a monthly team meeting at 8:00am PT and it makes me so mad! 😂 It’s always on a Monday, and I have the hardest time getting motivated for them. Normally I wake up at 6:30am, check the news, stocks, shower, eat breakfast, get dressed and start answering emails at 8am.. no speaking meetings until 10am.
