Random thought but how do some people work two full-time jobs? I know it's not impossible to work 80 hours in a week, sure. But what kind of life could you have outside of work beyond that?

I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. This makes me very confused since I kept hearing stories of people working 60+ hr weeks as designers at ad agencies. I am not complaining, but I have this creeping irrational feeling that I’ll get fired for not working even though there’s nothing for me to do. Should i be making up projects or asking for more work? Or just chill out? I just feel very confused. Are a lot of full time jobs like this?

Hey guys I have offer from cisco system and checkpoint cyber security . Checkpoint is offering x+5 in base where as cisco is offering similar amount in joining bonus. Overall per year ctc is also differs by 3 lac (y+3) in checkpoint .

So considering recession and mass layoff which one will be right option to select in terms wlb, job security and future growth .

FYI : checkpoint is starting r&d division in India I will be first person to be hired for the same role.

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

I interviewed at Amazon for a PM role in Dec. 2020 and was ultimely rejected. I was told I have to wait a year to reapply. Fast forward to June 2022, another recruiter reaches out to me re: a PM role. I pass the screening interview, and move on to the virtual on site interview stage. I randomly get a call from the recruiter telling me there is now a TWO YEAR reapply policy in place so I'm not eligible to interview for any PM roles until Dec. 2022. Anyone ever heard of this policy? Seems strange

Within my first year of Consulting, really struggling with the hours amongst other things. Spoken to a couple of people internally and the advice is to get on to projects with bigger budgets and therefore bigger teams/more support. If my company is deducting tax on reimbursements for example relocation, flight travel, mobile usage, etc. Then how to show in tax filing? bcoz as per my understanding it should not be taxable as I am using my money and company is refunding and no extra income.
