Read this and thought it as fascinating how CEOs, besides their golden parachute, also have private security paid by their company in the millions. Meanwhile little people like us, get the layoff slip due to productivity or reduction. And our salary is only a fraction of their security detail. How funny is c-suite compensation these days.

Hi All,
Persistent Systems is giving 10% variable on gross annual CTC. HR says you would receive minimum 70% of variable pay every month and remaining 30% will credited once a year at the end.
Does anyone has idea on this? Can I believe this and include 70% variable in my take home

Also anything else you would like to add is good for me to decide as I have to choose between Accenture and Kyndryl (I was with Accenture and know what I will be getting and work there).

He’s a very public figure and worth $260B, and no one is kidnapping “little people” for ransom. He also owns a big chunk of the companies (~80% of X, 50% of Space X, etc.) so the company paying for security is him paying for it himself.

This is perfectly normal and has been for decades. The cost also typically counts as at least partial income for tax purposes.
"Golden parachutes" are just pre-negotiated severance terms. If someone asks you to leave your cushy job as CEO of one company to go be CEO at another company, you would want protection in case they fire you. And you have the leverage to get them, because they really want you to take the job.
