Really rethinking this whole accounting gig. I used to be so passionate about it and wanted become CFO one day, but I’m slowly starting to dread the work and my life. Everything around me has taken a toll. I’ve tried both big 4 and industry and I really don’t like either side, but I don’t know where to pivot to. Part of me wants to drop everything, travel and start my own business but idk if that’s the best thing to do amid recession fears… could really use some advice :/

I am working as SAP consultant for 3.6 years in same company now. I am going to make my first switch in one of the big 4 in SAP only.
The thing is that I don't really enjoy working in SAP. It was handed over to me when I joined my current WITCH company. Now I have decided to switch to Salesforce tech. For which I have already finished the Admin beginner part.(while staying in NP)

Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience. Understanding that the degreed person committed to school and finished, yet that doesn't diminish what the not degreed has committed to and accomplished in their careers. This has to stop!

Tough time getting past final step: I’ve been trying to make a career shift for 10 months now and continue to get rejected at the last step.
