Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

To answer your first question it’s just a screening, i had mine last week it was 1hr long. The loop is scheduled separately and you have the ability to set a preference to have them all in one day or have them broken up into 2 days.
Not sure if this happens for everyone but my interviewer did tell me that they would be putting me through to the next round of interviews.
I am currently waiting for my dates and times for my loop.

Thanks for the context and good luck! Interesting that a screening call is with a team member. I associate screens with HR but this was very helpful to know! Any tips for the call? Was it just a walk through your resume and some behavioral questions?
Pretty much answered above, you’re told you are through to the loop in the screening call in most cases but on the level point feel free to send me the link via DMs I’ll check the level

I went through HR first followed by a 1 hour screen with a peer / team member. Once I got past that - I entered the 5 panel loop where I again had a round with said peer / team member.
The team member screen is important to gauge whether you make the cut
