Don’t rely on your grades or coursework. Nobody cares. You need to connect your experience to what the role would be in real estate finance. Network with some people, come up with a good story, and start interviewing. But please don’t come out of the gate saying you took some finance classes. You are competing with people who took a MAJORITY finance classes, so your differentiator will be how you link a unique experience to being good at that role.

Considering having a hands an experience on 4-5 Projects with Internship Certificates, Is it possible to get an opportunity directly into a Data Scientist Role(NLP/ML)?

Or should i go and work as an Analyst first and then look for an opportunity at more adv role?

I'm getting a MAcc to career change to forensic accounting. What opportunities are available to me with a data analytics heavy MAcc? I'm also tacking on 2 graduate certificates in Applied Statistics and International Economic Policy? For those in the field, would that be useful or not useful (i.e. waste of time)? I'm interested in investigations but also analytics, financial modeling, and expert witness services. Throw in salary potential for bonus points. I'll be getting my CPA, CFE, and CAMS.

I am looking into the CCP (Certified Compensation Professional). It seems to be quite an expensive exam.

If anyone else is studying, let me know and maybe we can share study materials!

For those who have taken it, are there any cheaper or alternative study materials to any official guides you would recommend? I went this route with the PHR and SHRM-SCP and passed each on the both try, so I wanted to see if that method may be viable here. Any recommended order to take courses in?

Thoughts on the LinkedIn newsletters? Who’s using them?
I like the layout, but seems a little glitchy still.
After 10 weeks of a weekly newsletter I’ve realized:
• The email that gets sent out after it gets published = really great feature.
• Copy and pasting images from previous newsletters causes and error and won’t save.
• Can”t find the newsletter in the regular search on LinkedIn.
• Relatively easy to work on once strategy is established.

If you haven't heard of Pi, it's a new cryptocurrency (like Bitcoin), developed by a bunch of Stanford PhDs. What makes it really interesting is that you can still mine this coin, using just the processing power of your phone, unlike just about every other coin out there. (Contd)

I’d to get a job in a small architecture firm or work for a developer to help build up my network. For the past 6 years I’ve taught high school architecture and engineering and done real estate on the side. I have an industrial design degree and tremendous construction and real estate sales knowledge. I also started architecture school but stupidly switched to industrial design. I don’t want to go back to school for architecture. Ultimately, I want to own my own company developing real estate.

Extremely frustrated that after 4+ years and multiple asks, I’m not getting the in-field construction experience I’ve asked for. I’m 5 yrs out of college. Any advice?
