Try getting experience at a competitor such as JP MORGAN. Work the retail side of things, and then apply. I think they just want to see some type of work outside of internships even if it is just a few months. I’m shocked at MS though. Typically they hire their interns and put them in an entry level development program. Maybe you’re selling yourself short in the interview?? Hm lots of things to consider.
Umm…don’t worry. there is a place for you out there. Many places, like Goldman Sachs prefer recent grads with no (apart from internship) experience because there are no bad habits and having a young, motivated, wide-eyed-and-bushy-tailed, junior level is great.
Hiring experienced candidates for entry level is a sign of a bad firm. Or the role isn’t really entry level. I would just keep on trying. The idea experienced grads is taking all the entry level positions across the board isn’t true.
You are going to a great school. Just brush up on interviewing skills.
Let me know when you crack that code.
