Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

Look into software implementation, like Workday Financials.
DM me if you want more info/referral.
You can become a manager or assistant controller. Or still go into advisory.
I’m in same boat. Each place has different names for positions, but you can definitely target an assistant controller role
Your a manager why would you ever leave for SFA (unless its FAANG) I know audit managers who leave for controller at smaller companies. Depending on company size, i’ve seen experienced managers leave for Director roles at smaller companies.
Stick it out for a year and you’ll get jobs manager and above.
Opportunities are what you make of it. If you just think your qualified for senior accountant roles your only going to apply to those roles and get those roles. Apply to manager roles, network on linkedin, dm people, opportunities are what you make of it. The people I know who got the best exits didn’t just sit there and apply to senior accountant roles. They took initiative, reached out to people saw manager and director jobs on linkedin and dm’ed people on the team, etc. Some built great relationships with partners and got referrals (Partners know most people leave and the ones that look out for you would love to help you with their connections).
My friend was a senior manager, casually brought up he was looking for something different with the partner he trusts, his previous smaller client was looking for a CFO. Presented to the board, he’s now the CFO of a smaller company…. he said he thought he was not ready. These days it’s not about what you know, it’s who you know.
Great advice!
