I work in field sales as an IC. My aspirational career path is to end up in people leadership. I received offer from two companies, MPHASIS(in Hyderabad) and Optimum Info System(as Cosultant for Shell India in Banglore). Optimum Info System offered 2.5L more CTC than Mphasis and ROLE is the same.

Which one would you opt considering that Mphasis is a bigger company(terms of employee count) than either Optimum Info System or Shell ?.

Is there such place as non toxic ID firm? Or does any of ID attys like what they do? I moved from general practice to an ID firm six months ago. Biggest mistake of my life. One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
