Been contacted mutiple times. 2 year terminal role with near zero possibility to become full time BX employee (it says you can but HH was a good friend of mine so he confirmed it almost never happens) and relocation to a portco location is a must. Not great. Note that this program is different from full time BX portfolio management team.
This is incorrect. Tons of PMP’s exit the program and take full time roles at BX. Notable placements include asset management, investment professional, corporate finance and portfolio operations.
What can you expect? Longer hours than you are use to. For comp, analyst is generally 80-100k with probably min 70% bonus.
^ yeah this is correct. I misinterpreted the posting. Thanks chief
I’ve heard good things from friends who have been there for the past 2-3 years. Some of them have even left the firm to officially take over as senior leadership in the portfolio companies. Comp wise - it’s def higher than consulting but less than the deal team
In TacOps this is a middle office role, so no you won't be working with portcos, your clients will be the BX deal team.
Yeah I'm gonna be honest. I didn't read the job posting. Was assuming standard FO analyst comp
Just applied for an internship role in this division, seems like a really great role especially early in your career
Heard of this role, and curious to know more about it before speaking with the recruiter
