Would Google (or other companies) consider someone who might be slightly over qualified for a role? I want to do something slightly different and want to apply for a level below as I have some experience, but maybe not just enough in that particular area. Thoughts?

I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I also have an opp to join a well funded/well established Healthtech Startup (6 figure salary w/ equity + benefits) as a BD professional.
