Currently job searching and idk what I should be asking for. I live in one the more expensive cities where 60k is a livable salary and I’m able to save $.

SEO Specialist - 1 year (agency)
Social Media & Digital Marketing- 6 mnths (freelance)

I have previous work experience in business management (8+yrs) but it wasn’t in digital marketing.

My wife recently put in her two weeks and half the people she worked with are just ignoring her messages. They asked to work longer but bc of her new company she cant. Shes moving for about 60% more pay from external audit to senior accounting. Shes extremely sad and im confused why these firms are so uptight about this. I am trying to negotiate an internal base increase. Context is that I am at a FinTech following a key strategic and successful M&A in which I was the sole program manager. Hello, after doing some research I believe I’m being underpaid. About 4 months ago HR did a market analysis for my role. They bumped my salary for about $2k.
