Get paid what you’re worth. You don’t offer any less value to an agency in Miami than an agency in NYC, provided they’re both serving national clients.
There’s no real “should” about it.
The market dictates.
The more employees in Miami looking to work remotely the less likely companies will pay them NYC salaries.
You never have more leverage than before you sign the contract. Get your money!

also be aware of the tax implications. some states have symbiotic tax implications (aka, job is in NYC and you live in VA, you only pay NY tax). Others do not (you may have to pay double state income tax). Could be thousands of dollars .
