Anyone in SF/ San Jose? f25
Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

Neither, go to LA
Seattle is more affordable and more enjoyable
Seattle by a mile
Love Seattle. Great food and drink, 2-3 hours in any direction gets you somewhere awesome, beach/snow/rainforest, cool city vibe, etc.
K1 - why are you so anti-Seattle? It’s beautiful
For west coat.. Seattle > LA (barely, this is close. LA is great too) >>>>> SF >>> Silicon Valley
Traffic is irrelevant if you’re a consultant.
Seattle
Pick SFO
Seattle, probably the worst cities in the country
KPMG1 - Why is that?
SF is great but the cost of living there is absolutely ridiculous and not worth it. Do LA or Seattle
Do LA. You won’t be able to live in SF and Seattle is meh.
LA has the worst traffic
Traffic is relevant; still need to get to the airport. And unless you stay home all weekend you still need to deal with traffic
Traffic isn’t an easy during the weekends nor when you’d get flights. I’ve been a consultant here for over two years.
You can survive LA traffic. It really isn’t that bad. Also SF has traffic too and it’s worse cuz less detour options
LA still - mid 30s with family - I’m thinking LA might be the young mans scene?
Nah. LA is so big you can find “your” area. South Bay, Pasadena, the Valley, West LA have a ton of families.
Traffic isn’t an issue*
