I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. Pre-covid, I was in the middle of interviewing with Deloitte. They told me the next round would be case interview. This was back in February. Since then, I’ve been put on a BAH project I actually really enjoy. My main motivation for leaving was I felt I was underpaid at BAH. I don’t know what to do. I feel secure in my job right now. Should I email the recruiter back and let them know I’m no longer interested? Or do I do the case interview? I’ve never done a case before being in fed consulting.

Seems like consulting is becoming less and less of an attractive field to be in, and people are leaving the industry in droves. Is this because of the pandemic? What gives?

Exited M level consulting for a f500 D role in the $250-$300 range. Early 30s now - comp seems relatively standard for that level and YOE.
