Go for it! A lot of inboxes are crazy right now. I have passed over colleagues emails too.
Hey, I’m not a creative but I help creatives get work. Don’t be afraid to network. People may not get back to you, but that doesn’t necessarily mean rejection. And even if it is rejection, who cares? You have value and the right people will see it. Networking is like saving, start early and do it consistently. It pays when there are unexpected changes. So double, triple email, call and get referred. The worst they can say is no. Separately, in connecting with people, do it with intention. You have more tools at your disposal to connect with anyone you want. Thoughtfully connect with people who fire you up. My two cents.
For context, I emailed a few of these CDs a month ago, after they all said they were interested in talking to students from my school. I’ve generally gotten good response to my book, with some agencies reaching out to me directly. Any advice is appreciated!
