Hi there! Interviewing w/Amazon for a non-tech role (Associate Category Manager aka Associate Buyer) and was asked what my salary requirements are for base+bonus+equity. Can anyone share insight on what Amazonians make in this role. I have 4 YOE and glassdoor is not very helpful.
Any feedback is appreciated 🙏 Amazon
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

If it’s relevant, I’d include. If not, leave it off
You should probably exclude anything from before law school unless it’s somehow directly relevant (e.g. you were a CPA and are now applying in-house at an accounting firm). Unless you have more than 10 years, keep it to 1 page.
Keep it to 1 page. Exclude before law school but include after. You got this
I would trim it to line each job (no description or bullets) if that's still too much then consolidate as "worked in various positions in x industry".
Nobody will really care what you did but I do agree that a gap is to be avoided.
I would just make a decision based on this: if you send me that resume, the first thing I would ask you about is the gap. It probably doesn’t prevent an interview, though.
“I signed an NDA” 😊
I’ve grouped that kind of time with general references unless there’s something notable that might make them remember you. I work with a guy who was a scout for a major league team in our town. Makes him memorable
Based on your description, yes, you should exclude it. I don’t usually care what someone did before law school unless they bring it up because it is relevant. I don’t even ask.
