Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.
Can I get some likes please

Go with your gut feeling. If you can hold on financially, then leave. Or you can talk to your boss and let him/her know how you feel. It may get better if they know. Good luck!
Your feelings are valid and if you’re feeling overwhelmed and undervalued, it’s never too soon! Put your health and YOU first! Stress is like a silent cancer that chips away at you, Don’t let it!! 🙏wishing you well!
Will you be able to weather the storm until you get a new job? Is there really no chance of things improving? You're the only person who can really answer those questions. But if you know staying is the wrong move for you, I wouldn't do it just because of some misconceived idea that there's an appropriate amount of time to stay in a job. If you know, you know.
Is the coworker on leave coming back? If there isn’t a plan to support your growth, that’s usually a sign it’s time to move on. I would start applying and looking at other jobs out there. Hard to say how long it can take to land another role.
I am really sorry to hear that. I would start looking for something else if I were you before putting in your two weeks. Its easier to find a job when you already have one.
All I can say is that I wish I'd left my last job a month into it instead of losing it on the ninth month supposedly due to the Cost-of-Living crisis. Even my manager said that if they had been in the situation I was that they would have left months ago! Hardly a comfort since I haven't been able to gain employment since. I think it depends on your financial situation and what country you're in. I felt pressurised by my situation to stick it out as I'm stubborn and wanted it to work but I had minimal support after the person who was supposed to be my senior kept going off sick for days at a time. That started three weeks after I started and the week of my birthday in March where I had two days pre-booked. I came in on the Wednesday to find he wasn't there. This messed up many planned things for others which had to be rescheduled and was a repeating pattern until he quit in June. I doggedly tried to keep things going on my own until November that year. When companies expect ridiculous things from their employees without giving much back then they should expect burn out like you're experiencing now. Do they have a wellness department or person? Do they have a reputation for this kind of thing? Can you afford to leave? x
Have you expressed a need for assistance with the new role? It can take time to adjust to a new role and even more so when a company / department is short staffed. Do you have a back up for work or enough saved away to support yourself for possibly months of being unemployed?
No do don't quite
You just have to calm down and understand your work , the more you work and do some mistake , you understand more . That's what experience is call
Take a everyday as to learn more of your work
I was in same boat. Dont be afraid to say no, to ask for help. It's so easy to give up. 61 applications in 3 weeks with military service, a diploma as law clerk, various other diplomas and still no hires I would love a job like that.
Only you can decide that. I've seen people waste decades of their lives in jobs they hate because they feared what others thought. As long as you know you did everything in your power to improve a situation? Sure, it's best to have a job in front of you but sometimes a person just needs to GTFO before it affects their mental health! I've left jobs and was in free fall, but you know what? Like a cat, I always landed on my feet! Sometimes a person just has to go even if it doesn't make sense on the surface. WYKYK. Ideally have some saving and supportive family and friends. That helps but even if that's not readily available, I still say it's better to leave a toxic situation than remain, get even more miserable and then have the bosses make the decision for you to leave because they see "you" as the problem and not them. Voice of experience here...
If you can, DO NOT Quit until you have another job offer you have accepted and have a start date. In the current job market, it has become more difficult finding a fair wage Admin. Assist. position.
Try speaking to your immediate supervisor of director and explain the current situation you are encountering. Make sure you have a list on hand of all the job duties you are currently performing and how you are trying to "self train" in your new role without any guidance. I definitely hope that you are getting paid at the high wage for your new role as Legal Assistant while still performing Admin. Assist. task. They are so fortunate to have you doing the task of 2 employees for the price of 1.
Please keep us posted as to the outcome. Best wishes!
Thank you all for your advice and support. Just wanted to give a quick update—my coworker has extended her leave for another month, and I still haven’t received any training. At this point, I think it’s best for me to move on and find a role where I can grow and be supported.
Job market right now is tough. Find n get the new job before you quit!
