Should there be another lockdown to take care of this delta covid variant?

Yes but just you and your family

Hahaha

In the US? Not a chance. Quit falling for the fear that the media drives to boost ratings. Cases have plummeted and deaths and hospitalization rates are down over 90%.

likesmarthelpful

Yes we should just keep conducting lockdowns that have a marginal effect on containing Covid and an order of magnitude larger impact on hurting small businesses and employment…. Great idea to keep trying the same methods that haven’t even worked effectively and made the response worse than the issue

likehelpfulfunny

Sure. Anyone who isn't vaccinated should stay home.

likefunny

There should be! Will there be - that’s a different question!

likefunny

Why should there be? With most of the vulnerable vaccinated, Covid isn’t nearly the risk it used to be.

like

Zeroism (goal of 0 cases) doesn’t work. The goal of lockdowns was to prevent the hospitals from being overwhelmed by preventing cases since we couldn’t prevent serious disease.
Guess what? With vaccines, we can reliably prevent serious disease and death for most people / treat those who we couldn’t.

So go get vaxed and stop counting cases/variants/whatever the MSM is trying to push now and live your life.

like

One moment the WHO tell everyone with a vaccine to stop wearing masks, the next, they require it again

I know you learn new things everyday but can they improve their communications????

We
Have
Outrageous amounts of money from the CCP

Wait. You think there was A lockdown already? In the US?

What

like

US vaccine rates are tailing off so they are less protected than you might think. Then again, the best time to let one of these variants rip is during the summer. Unless you want to be locked down now and through winter, you may be better off hoping most of the people that will die have got the vaccine and the remainder will live.

Due to obvious conditions my comp for the calendar year (salary+bonus) is back to 2017 levels although my overall sales are more than double and 1/3 less total comp than last year. It seems like comp opportunity is always decreasing during good times (I get it) but when it comes to adjusting during bad times, nothing was done. Is this normal for industry sales?

Went through multi-day loop for L5 SA and felt confident in my interactions. Presentation went well with no lack of answers for follow up questions. Just found out 6 days later I will not be receiving an offer, and it is policy to not provide feedback of gaps or reasons behind no offer. Also found out they ask you not to reapply for 1 to 2 years for same role. Would anyone recommend an alternate path for feedback on interview (outside of recruiter) and is the 1-2 year policy true?

Hi Guyz,

I went through the entire recruitment process and got selected for IBM ISL. Now I am being told by the HR that they are unable to release offer as there is a hiring freeze.

Can any one please tell me if its correct or just an excuse not to give me offer. If its true, when will this freeze be removed?
