Hi! I’m moving to LA in a couple months and have found a few buildings in Beverly Grove right across from the Beverly Center that I like. Is this a good area? My job is 100% remote and my priority is just being close to shopping, restaurants and bars in a safe area (single F).
How much do babies cost per year? How much $$ in savings would you ladies recommend before TTC?
Hi Account friends! It’s the start of a new year and I was hoping you all could share any book / newsletter / blog / course recommendations that help keep you up to snuff. Feeling a bit stale and like the last year has been a tactical grind. I want to brush up on modern thinking for our industry - the latest and greatest marketing books, strategy perspectives, creative self help, etc. to feel more alive as we start 2022.
Comment your favs and THANK YOU in advance!
Etiquette question. Invited last minute to a family party (my in-laws) ostensibly for Father’s Day. Accepted invite. Shortly after, my sis in law advises that they will also be celebrating the HS graduation and birthday of her husbands nephew. Do we bring a cash gift for the young man? How much? We know the young man and like him but don’t typically celebrate holidays or buy gifts for him. He has two brothers who will be graduating in the future and don’t want to be inequitable to them.

I was just contacted by a recruiter and he saw my LinkedIn and said "oh I just saw your picture, you are so pretty"
What's going on with people these days 💀
Hey guys, I’m new to this app and was wondering if I can get 11+ likes on this post so I can access my DM’s. Would be super helpful! 😁

Thoughts on Yukon/Tahoe? If you don’t like them what other tough, large, comfy SUV would you recommend?
So I want to get the CSP - but worried about the 4k in the 3 months. Any suggestions for meeting the threshold?
The military saved me. I'm serious. I brought so many conflicts into the service, my father was an alcoholic, and I was an opioid addict. I've been clean for seven years thanks to my training. Forever thankful to the troops for that.
Received an Amazon inclined recycle outcome in August for L6 technival position. Told I needed to mini loop on another role for placement. Fast forward to this week, requested to interview for another L6 technical position - they want to do full 6 hour loop. Sys Dev Manager first role vs Sr TPM for 2nd role. Annoyed... 🤨
I have an opportunity for a new position with higher pay, fully remote with the option of going into the local office whenever I want, unlimited PTO, within a growing industry and in a role that I could then easily transition into pretty much any tech company - but its a drop in title. I’d be going from Director to senior manager - but this is also a much bigger company. I’m fine with it but I’m wondering how it might look on my résumé in the future. Has anyone deal w this before? Any thoughts?

A good way to tie The Canterbury Tales to today: Before my seniors read “The Wife of Bath’s Tale,” I had them conduct a survey asking the question “What do women desire the most?” They had to record responses from males and females above and below the age of 25, and then write a reflection about their findings. They were so surprised to see that we still want the same things in our romantic partners!

Best book YOU read in high school (for me that's a shocking amount of years ago) and why it was the best! Go!
I’m going to be able to purchase a novel for each grade level, 9-12, this coming school year. I’m looking for suggestions. What I have available currently is pretty dated and my own personal affinity is for the more classical novels, so I was hoping to find some more modern ideas that my kids may relate to easier.
I read about the banning of “Anne Frank” and “Maus” and I got a sinking feeling in my soul. Anyone out there have any thoughts on this? Does this call “Fahrenheit 451” to anyone else’s mind, or am I going off the deeper end of this pool?
