Hello Verizon fellows, In Deloitte, there's a facility to claim a certain reimbursement for purchasing mobile devices through their portal or something. Similarly, do VDSI employees have any discounts or reimbursement for purchasing devices through Verizon? If so, kindly let me know how to check it out. Thanks in advance.

Good, piss off our legit platinum 😏
SPG platinums are, I would guess, considerably more valuable than Marriott platinums. Makes sense to me...
Also suite nights are worthless. Can hardly ever redeem them...
A1 - That's not rational. If anything, it should be the other way around. (Granted, I say this as a Platinum 100 with SPG.) Marriott is trying to retain high-value SPG customers who would otherwise switch to Hilton or Hyatt. Personally, I'm Hilton Diamond from the status match a few months ago, so if Marriott screwed me over, I would have no qualms about leaving. Marriott Rewards members are more locked in, and they're not actually losing anything; they're just gaining less than the target customer population Marriott wants to secure.
SPG plat means SO much more
SPG loyalists are viewed as more valuable because their average property is likely more expensive, and there are fewer properties, which means members often inconvenience themselves to stay at a branded property over the closest hotel. It's not rocket science here.
OP -- you have a very naive understanding of how loyalty programs work.
I hope you never have to run a P&L. You'll be out of work in a heart beat.
So wrong, Marriott was the acquiring company, Marriott platinum should be showered upon even if restrictions the other way
Giving 1-3 conversation on points was to keep spg people happy
OP - Suite night upgrades do run out (at times), so I can understand the rationale for not distributing them. Had they given them away, I wouldn't have cared, though. You're reading into the wrong part of my point. Marriott elites are less likely to leave than SPG elites, so anything that happens should be tilted in favor of SPG elites. (I'd make the same argument for any institution that acquired a smaller institution whose patrons represented higher revenue per head than the larger institution.)
Ok I hear ya now. I guess I would grudgingly agree to your point.

@McKinsey 1 -- exactly.
What Platinum benefits apply?
Ey2, you must be out of your mind to switch to another hotel chain post Marriott spg merger. It's essentially a monopoly at this point. Marriott is the acquiring company so how does allowing Marriott platinums to reap the rewards piss off spg loyalists? Lol. Anyway it is what it is, my post was more of a FYI
How the heck are spg platinums more valuable? Both need 75 nights and they are matching a 75 night Marriott member with spg 50 :/
I've had plenty of success with suite nights.
Because you can't (couldn't?) earn SPG Plat status staying at a $59/night Fairfield Inn... We all forget that not all companies allow employees to book relatively nicer places like we do. (Making this point because I would assume that the average FB Marriott Plat is about as valuable as the FB SPG Plat).
D1, I earned mine staying at JW Marriott in Chicago, and so what if u earn it at Fairfield inn? This is a LOYALTY program not a "look at me I'm so rich" program. If a person stays for 75 nights at Fairfield inn he deserves plat as much as anyone.
OP- did you choose not to read my comment that FB travelers are likely not as representative to all Marriott elites as SPG folks are?
