I made a couple errors at a new job. An important document to be distributed had wrong information on it, which was proofread by 2 other people. Then a couple of typos in emails, the person micromanaging me told me to send out but I didn’t fix the errors. Failed to meet a deadline but completed 95%. I was written up over all this last week, fired this week. There’s a lot more to this but I think it’s because the DM doesn’t like me.

Would you suggest someone pursuing an MBA if they want to get a role in HR or Project Management? And for those that want to pursue product management... are there still a decent amount of numbers similar to accounting? Thanks

I like my current job, company and public accounting. I know I am being underpaid at $70k as a senior tax associate with 2-3 years of experience as I have talked with my local peers as well as local recruiters. Also, I know outside hires to my company get paid about $5-$10k higher than me, but they don’t get a raise the following year. The question is: do you need to be a competent software engineer/developer in order to be a good solutions engineer/architect?

Anyone feel frustrated at times with the super aggressive sales personalities we deal with? My AE is always pushing on every ask no matter how minuscule it is. My vp is super anal about anything we do. I understand these guys pull in huge commissions and bonuses that’s why they are so motivated. However what I personally feel is they just nag us until we do the job according to their spec. Just venting……anyone else feel the same?
