They’re looking for justification for firing you. Spend your effort searching for a new job, not in fighting this.
Your manager can only PIP you after consulting with their boss and HR, it’s a crap load of writing, no first line manager wants to do that. You should take short term leave or PTO to interview for a new job.
Your manager 100% knew what was in that pip prior to presenting it to you. Now she has issues with it? She just doesn’t want to be the bad guy. I agree with everyone else, start looking elsewhere!
PIP is basically only used to build proof so the company is protected legally when they fire you. No other real reason to use it. Spend your time looking elsewhere for jobs. Just try to leave this job on the best note that you can.
Can’t hurt, regardless you are doing the right thing. Even if the PIP still stands, there shouldn’t be anything that is non-factual on it, especially if you have documentation of the items you are disputing. All you can do now is see how it all plays out.
Get out ASAP before you have to explain it to potential employers.
