Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

As someone in a digital heavy media role who’s interviewing for brand strategy roles, I’m curious why you’re now looking at media. But to answer your question - I’d learn the basics. How does programmatic advertising work? What’s retargeting? 1st vs 2nd and 3rd party data. Your question is a bit broad, as ‘digital’ in media could refer to planning, social strategy, buying, programmatic, or analytics focused roles. Either way, you’ll want to show that you’ve done your research of the type of role your interviewing for, and ask questions beyond the surface level, about what the things you’ve learned about look like in the form of the client for the role your interviewing for. Hope that helps!
Talk goals and data. Digital is so measurable, its a factor in just about everything.
I'd also familiarize yourself with AI/ML in the context of advertising, since that's what all that data is plugged into.
They'll probably ask analyst type questions too, because analytics is so intertwined. Advertisers are not statisticians no matter how much they like to think they're 'good with math' so forget the imposter syndrome and just talk about something cool you did in a spreadsheet or visualization platform, what problem it solved, and how it impacted the bottom line, and you're good.
Really do appreciate the advice! It ended up going... alright :)
