Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

I’m 26 weeks pregnant and trying to figure out my leave. I live in NJ and work at PwC, any fishes know the policy for NJ and PwC? The leave center has not been much help and I want to plan NOW not like 60 days before. I was told NJ gets two weeks before due date and PwC gives you two weeks as well.

Go ask for an informational interview. Hint your looking for an in-house role at a company like X. He’ll get the idea.
My two cents: tell them how you love x and why, and also you want to know how to land a job at a company like x. Ask him What are the things you and companies like x look for.
He may hint during the conversation that the company may be looking.
If that’s the case then jump into how you think you fit that criteria.
You got to read the room and listen to what the guy says. Why they don’t teach social skills in law school is beyond me 😂.
I’d also check how many other lawyers they have on staff. If not that many that would likely mean he was hired to build a team so you might have a good chance.
What’s the industry?
To anyone following this, I did it and he actually responded to me and we had a great conversation this AM! We’ll see where it goes from here! Thanks Fish for your encouragement.
I was just about to DM you!!
Reach out and put yourself out there-
Say “i want to work for your company and here’s why” tell the CLO the value you’ll bring because of your passion for their business, note that you know it’s a long shot but you want to be sure you’re on their radar if and when they decide to expand the team. In the meantime if there’s anything you can do to help, you’re available.
Love this. Thanks for the advice!
Absolutely reach out. You got this.
Sounds obvious, but you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain. Plus you will probably regret if you don’t reach out. 90% people are flattered and happy to meet someone who wants to ask them about themselves. If you bet the odd person who isn’t receptive—oh well. Good luck!
Soooo true
Good luck!
