How recession-proof are in house roles in finance (e.g., hedge funds, PE firms, etc.), especially when newly lateraling from Big Law?

Looking for recommendations on Azure learning and certifications, specifically learning tracks for Systems Administrators and Engineers. I'm specifically looking for the MS equivalent of a VMware VCP course/certs.

Any advice on landing a strat & ops role in a tech firm? The JD is my dream role, but these opportunities are few and far between, and yet I keep getting rejections even at the CV stage. Currently in a DD shop, so could be a fit issue (but I can’t pivot…)

I feel stuck as a Strategy Manager and want to make a career pivot at 35. But have no idea what i should do? Any recommended resources for a mid-level lit associate looking to develop some skills in health care transactional work? I'm primarily a med-mal attorney and several clients have small opportunities on the MA side that I'd like to be able to assist with. The firm does not currently have a specific transactional healthcare practice group so I'd need to go out of the firm for mentorship in this area. one thing I do not do is pick up the phone before 9:30…after 7 years, you would think they’d learn.

I dated someone 15 years older than me and he always lectured me about what did I do wrong. From small things like where to squeeze ketchup on my plate to big things like how to live my life and pivot to a career that his “friends” do so well in right now. Almost everything I did or said he’d follow with some criticism. I ghosted him after another lunch date full of such lectures.
