Sorry for the newb question
About 12 years ago I opened an account at Edward Jones for my kid’s 529 account. Since that time I have also rolled previous employer 401k funds there into IRAs (have a total of about $350k there). I don’t really want to use EJ anymore because I don’t think the returns are any higher than index funds plus I’m paying fees. I have my self-directed brokerage at TDAmeritrade - can I roll 529 and IRA funds from EJ there? How would I go about doing that?

Going through a closeout. 50-50 profit share allocation, but my business partner has been using the venture money at their personal piggy bank (hence the breakup). My accountants say because we agreed to 50-50 shares, the leftover money has to be divided equally.

What's the best 529plan? Heard Vanguard Nevada plan is popular due to low fee, or NY state one gives tax benefits upto $10k (but not sure if it matters for NJ residents working in NYC). What's the criteria for deciding 529?

$530k HHI, $250k cash on hand, $1.2M investments/retirement. Plan to buy $800-900k house as our first home, but thinking of the best approach given rates today. My thinking is that we (i) put $200k+ down and get a 5/1 ARM. (ii) put everything we save moving forward toward paying down the principal (after maximizing retirement accounts). Should be able to do $100k per year. (iii) If rates go down below 4.5ish % for 15 year fixed, refinance and stop aggressive payment. Thoughts on this approach?
