Started at Latham this week (West Coast in corporate) but orientation has been postponed to a few weeks later. If you’re at Latham, could you share the ins and outs, and give me a few pointers and tips, tricks of the trade at Latham? One helpful post I found was that after 6pm, skype turns yellow. Any other similar type of tips would be helpful! Also is food free? :D

On the Skype color, most of my practice group basically leaves it yellow at all times so nobody knows who’s on. I’m into it

Damn my practice group is always green :(

Food is free in LA until office reopens; Silicon Valley has a subsidized cafeteria once reopened, for now lunch is group ordered via grub hub.

Also,do the reimbursements get processed pretty quickly?

What office are you in?

If orientation is a few weeks later, what are you doing for the next few weeks? Just getting started on work without orientation?

Anyone a manager? I’m recently diagnosed (26F) and I can’t help but beat myself up everytime I fall short of my to do list. Makes me feel like a huge disservice to my team. If anyone feels similar, how do you manage these feelings? I’m personally considering switching to an individual contributor role, but can’t help but feel like a disappointment if I do.

I’ve asked for work but no luck. I know they say this is normal for a stub but when should I start getting worried and consider looking for exit options? Fyi, I like my practice group, so I don’t want to change to a different group within my firm, hence would have to lateral, if I have to. Also, other co-1st years are churning in high hours.
